Op-amp Supplying Too Much Current

A typical opamp can only supply a current of 10 mA. Greater currents will eventual damage this IC. The output of operational amplifier would be about 7 V due to saturation voltage and LED voltage would be about 2 V. Thus the op-amp is supplying (7 V - 2 V)/1000 ohms*3 = 5 mA * 3 = 15 mA > 10 mA.

Bad Oscilloscope Connection

This circuits is one of AutoTrax Simulator examples.

The voltage between two terminals could be well above specified limits. Thus the oscilloscope will fail. However, in theory this circuit is correct.
